Our journey began in a classroom where Sandra Thompson, author and tutor of the Applied Customer Experience Course, met Laura May, an eager student ready to make her mark. Sandra, already on her path to becoming an Emotional Intelligence expert, inspired Laura to embed these principles into her own work. As Laura applied her new knowledge to her role in the events industry, she saw firsthand the transformative power of Emotional Intelligence.

Fast forward to a few years later, amidst the challenges of a global pandemic, Sandra and Laura reconnected. Realizing the potential of combining their expertise, they decided to collaborate and bring Emotional Intelligence to the global events industry. Their shared vision was clear: to create meaningful, engaging, and emotionally intelligent events that resonate on a deeper level.

The idea for Max EQ was born from Sandra's inspiring visit to TED 2024, where the possibilities of integrating Emotional Intelligence into every facet of life became even more evident. Max EQ  represents their commitment to revolutionizing the events industry, ensuring that every interaction is impactful and every experience is enriched with Emotional Intelligence.
